Teams in Fyxt are managed in two locations. Property management teams are managed from the Manage Teams page, while Engineers will be managed via the Manage Engineers page.

Manage Teams
All of your management users will be managed from the Manage Teams page. Each management user has three elements to their set-up.
-
Contact Information. This includes first and last name, email, and a phone number.
-
Property Assignment. These are the properties which the user will have access to and manage.
-
User Roles. These roles guide what a user can or cannot do. Some of a User Role permissions will determine whether a user can create Jobs, approve Invoices, or sign Checklists.
Quick Tip: When first onboarding your account, it would be most efficient to create your Properties, then User Roles, and finally your Manager and Engineer users.
Page Structure
The Manage Teams page organizes data into tabs for your convenience.

These tabs are My Teams, All Teams, User Roles, Suspended Accounts.
My Teams will display each property assigned to you. Selecting a property will display the full team of assigned Managers and Engineers.

Your team display of Manager users will support customization of their User Permissions for the given property. This means regardless of User Role, you can always customize the permissions of your team to fit your needs.

The display of Engineer users will communicate their personal rates alongside other details like property assignment and contact information.
All Teams will host all teams in Fyxt, organized by Property.
All Users is where you will add and edit existing Manager users.

All manager users will receive an email invitation to onboard when their information is saved in Fyxt. Users invited to Fyxt but which have not yet onboarded will display with the Status “Pending”. You can resend invitations to any of these users at any time. User accounts which no longer need access to Fyxt can be suspended to revoke access.
Quick Tip: Property turnover can be a challenge to maintaining up-to-date team assignments. You can ensure core Managers get automatically assigned to all new properties in Fyxt by selecting the checkbox to “Always add to new properties”.
Suspended Accounts will populate all users which have had access revoked. These users can either be reactivated or deleted.
User Roles allow you to customize and manage the permissions granted to your teams. The User Role assigned to a Manager will set their default permissions, although certain permissions can be localized at a property level. Customize these Property Permissions from a property’s Teams page.

Manage Engineers
All of your Engineering team members will be managed from the Manage Engineers page. This page will have a similar structure as the Manage Teams page, being organized into tabs for My Engineers and All Engineers.
My Engineers will populate all Engineer users assigned to Properties you are also assigned to.
All Engineers will populate every Engineer in your account regardless of common property assignment.

You can Add Engineers by selecting the button in the top right of your screen. Each Engineering user has four elements to their set-up.
-
Contact Information. This includes first and last name, email, and a phone number.
-
Pay Rates. These are the amounts of an Engineer’s Standard Hourly Rate, Overtime, etc.
-
Property Assignment. These are the properties which the user will have access to and manage.
-
Roles. There are limited roles which can apply to Engineers. These are Engineer and Day Porter. The only difference is that Day Porters are not required to submit Timesheets on Jobs when assigned.
Quick Tip: All Jobs with Engineers assigned will require Timesheets before closure. If your teams do not require Timesheets of Engineers through Fyxt, you may assign their role as Day Porters.
Both the Engineer and Day Porter roles have more limited permissions relative to their Manager counterparts. These limitations are:
-
Engineers & Day Porters can only see jobs which they are directly assigned to.
-
If assigned to Jobs, Engineers must submit Timesheets before the Job can be closed. Timesheets are not required of Day Porters.
-
Engineers & Day Porters cannot have custom User Roles assigned to them.
Primary Engineers
Within any expanded Team’s page, any Engineer can be labeled as a Primary Contact. These Team level Engineering Primary Contacts create what we call Primary Engineers, allowing this individual permissions beyond those normally applied to Engineers, allowing them to View all Jobs of assigned properties and assign Engineers to those Jobs.

Marking an Engineer as Primary here will enable Primary Engineer functionality for this individual
