Approve an Engineer's Job Request

Your internal engineering team has the ability to create new work requests. Once you receive the notification, this is how you review and approve the request.

  1. The engineer will submit the ticket from their portal.  It will automatically be in the "Job Requested" stage until a manager reviews and approves the request. 
  2. Any managers associated with the property will receive an email that a new Job Request has been submitted for approval.
  3. The new job will appear in your Dashboard in the "New Requests" stage as well as under the "Requires Attention" tab.  Click on the Job to review the job details.

If the engineer has uploaded an image, video, or voicemail, you can review these files under the "Pre-Completion" section of the job details.

If you are not satisfied with the request, you can click "Reject".  You will be prompted to enter a note.

If you are ready to approve the request, update the following details:

  • In the Assign Manager dropdown, select yourself or another team member who will manage the job.
  • In the Assign Engineers dropdown, select the original engineer who submitted the ticket and/or new engineer(s).
  • Optionally, you can also select the Vendor or Vendors you will send the request to to complete the work or collect multiple bids.
  • Make any changes to the Job Details or check or uncheck any Job Settings.

 

 

What's Next?

Any Engineers or Vendors you assigned to the job will receive an email to accept the request and upload a bid or schedule the work.
